What does this tool change? It recalculates retime information for supported offspeed clips so the exported AAF matches the selected project frame rate.
What should I upload? Export linked AAF files from Avid with the video tracks needed for retime processing. The free tool accepts up to 5 AAF files and 4 MB total per batch.
Do I need an account? No account is required. The email field is used to limit abuse and collect beta feedback.
Why AAF and not EDL for retimes? An EDL can't describe motion effects, so speed ramps and offspeed clips get lost or flagged when you go EDL to AAF or back. AAF preserves the retime data, which is exactly what this tool reads and conforms. If you only need a timecode-accurate shot list without effects, use the free EDL to CSV reader instead; if a facility asked you to convert an Avid AAF to EDL, expect the retimes to drop and hand off the AAF where you can.
